Born in the UK and now based in France, Nigel Bird is a British artist who focuses on the world of Abstract Drawings. He makes use of a number of materials to create his monochrome art, including Charcoal, Black Pastel, Indian ink and soot; these images are remarkably expressive to say that they are made without colour, working instead with texture and shading.

Nigel draws inspiration from the world around him, exploring themes of time, materiality and our relationship to the natural environment that surrounds us.
